My beautiful people!
Can you see me standing right in front of you, smiling at you, congratulating you on your latest achievement? Yes, of course, you can! I might not be physically with you now, but, in my mind, I will always be with you. Once a family, always a family!
Actually, I am also graduating from KUIS. I started my life in Japan at the age of 24. The first and the last place where I worked was Kanda Gaigo Group, altogether 46 years.? First, it was Kanda Gaigo Gakuin and last, Kanda Gaigo Daigaku. Now, at the age of 70, I can proudly say that both are my homes, to which I owe a lot, and which I love with all my heart. I can also proudly say that I now have a home where I am always welcome. I know it and I feel it. You, dear graduates, and especially the people I was lucky to share time with in our classroom, contributed to that, greatly! After graduating from KUIS, I do hope you feel KUIS is your home, too.
Congratulations, dear graduates. In the end, I would like you to keep in mind three things. The first one is JY（ジェイワイ）, 時代を読む！Don’t live in the past, live in the now. Make sure you know what is going on around you. The second one is “Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket!” There are so many fun things around you waiting to be explored. The third one, and maybe the most important one is knowing that the only constant in life is CHANGE!? Enjoy the new challenges! Life is beautiful!
