In the Graduate School of Language Sciences, you will undertake scientific research about human languages as well as high-level research into the acquisition of English and Japanese as foreign languages under the supervision of professors with excellent track records in those areas. There are a large number of courses offered and classes are conducted in small intimate groups. There are many native English language speaking researchers amongst the supervisors, so during the course of your specialist theoretical research your English practical ability will improve too, as a matter of course. The graduate school has individual private research space for research students. There is also a library, computer room and lounge for designated graduate student use, so graduate students can enjoy a relaxed research experience in comfortable surroundings. The Graduate School of Language Sciences comprises both M.A and PhD courses.
