With the goal of transferring to an overseas university after one year, students learn the contents (departmental subjects) of the first year of an overseas university in English immediately after entering Kanda Institute of Languages. While at KGU, students study the same subjects as first-year students of the Study Abroad University Course, who are also interested in studying abroad.
- Only courses for study abroad and employment preparation will be offered in Japanese.

A dedicated on-campus team supports students in their respective career paths, such as learning with an eye toward completion of the one-year program, studying abroad (transferring to 2- or 4-year overseas universities), advancing to the second year of an overseas university study course, or finding a job.
- No specialist degree is awarded upon completion of the one-year program.
A "Bachelor of Professional Studies" certificate is required for transfer to a domestic university.

In addition to TOEIC?, which all students are required to take, we also offer preparation for the TOEFL? on-campus, TOEFL iBT? and IELTS, which are official English language examinations. We provide multiple support for higher education, study abroad, and employment.

Course Topics
Enables students to study in Japan for one year and transfer to an overseas university.
Overseas University Study Abroad Course (2 Years)
By obtaining two years of university credits and a "Specialist" degree, students can transfer to the third year of university, whether in Japan or abroad.
From the beginning, you can sit back and concentrate on your studies for two years and enjoy a stable student life.
Students can obtain a "Specialist" degree, which is advantageous in terms of employment and other career options.
Study Abroad Program (1 year)
Students can earn one year of college credits and transfer to a second year overseas university (2-year or 4-year).
Students can aim to obtain high scores on the TOEFL? and various other language examinations on campus, which can be used for job hunting.
In the second year, students can continue their studies at Kanda Institute of Languages (Overseas University Study Course) and aim to obtain a bachelor's degree.

California State University (CSU), Fresno (4-year college)
Some universities have their own transfer requirements for students of this course, and we are gradually adding partner universities that grant scholarships to students with excellent grades. With two years of university credits earned at Kanda Institute of Languages, you can choose when to study abroad at your optimal timing, even after graduation.
Study Abroad Center staff will assist you with the procedures necessary for studying abroad, such as arranging local housing, airline tickets, and travel insurance. Special classes are also offered to help you resolve any concerns you may have about studying abroad in general or any questions you may have about job hunting (during study abroad and after returning to your home country). We will watch over you while you are enrolled at Kanda Institute of Languages and until you graduate from the local university.
California State University (CSU), Northridge (4-year college)
The Northridge School is ranked in the top 25 degree programs in music in the nation and is internationally recognized. Many of its graduates are active professionals in the film and music fields. The school also offers easy access to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the many beaches that dot Southern California.
State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany (4-year college)
Located in New York State's capital city, about a three-hour drive north along the Hudson River from Manhattan, New York City, it was founded in 1844 and is the oldest in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
City University of New York (CUNY), Staten Island (4-year college)
It is located on Staten Island, adjacent to Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York City, across the bay from each other. There are various departments such as Biology, Business, Chemistry, Arts, and Media and Culture. The environment is so peaceful that you may forget that you are in New York City.
