Language skills required for study abroad and a wide range of foreign universities
Students take general education courses and earn credits.
Take the first step toward free learning, whether at home or abroad.

POINTS

01

Learn a wide range of content in English

The Study Abroad Program at an Overseas University is not about "learning English," but about "learning content (departmental subjects) in English. Students will study in the same curriculum as that of local universities abroad, focusing on "listening, speaking, and using" university English on a daily basis.

  • Only classes for study abroad and employment preparation will be conducted in Japanese.

02

1 year and 8 months in vocational school + 2 years of college and graduation from an overseas university

By earning the equivalent of two years of university credits in one year and eight months, students can transfer to an overseas university in the third year. By transferring credits equivalent to two years of university, students are able to study specialized courses immediately after entering university, effectively shortening the time spent at overseas universities.

03

Required for transfer admission English test required for transfer

Each overseas university has its own English test as a requirement for admission. Classes focus on preparation for the TOEFL iBT?, and as your language skills improve, we will prepare you for other English tests (such as IELTS). This expands your choice of universities to which you can enter after graduation.

TOPICS

Some universities have their own transfer requirements for students of this course, and we are gradually adding partner universities that grant scholarships to students with excellent grades. With two years of university credits earned at Kanda Institute of Languages, you can choose when to study abroad at your optimal timing, even after graduation.
Study Abroad Center staff will assist you with the procedures necessary for studying abroad, such as arranging local housing, airline tickets, and travel insurance. Special classes are also offered to help you resolve any concerns you may have about studying abroad in general or any questions you may have about job hunting (during study abroad and after returning to your home country). We will watch over you while you are enrolled at Kanda Institute of Languages and until you graduate from the local university.

I thought it would be absolutely impossible for me, a shy person, to study abroad.
You will acquire the necessary English skills and positive attitude, and gain self-confidence.

I am a big study averse person, but English was the only thing I liked. I was not good at asking questions to the teachers, so I chose B3 Gaikokugo Institute because of the support I received. I was very anxious about my first name because I was shy. What helped me at that time were the teachers who answered all my questions kindly and one by one, and my classmates who had the same goal. By the end of my first year, I was able to understand most of what the foreign teachers said. This course also allows students to take classes at overseas universities in Japan. There are many partner schools, and there are ample opportunities to hear from graduates and representatives of overseas universities, so you can decide which university is right for you. Currently, I am working hard after graduation to study abroad at California State University (CSU) Fresno for the fall semester, one of our partner universities. I would like to major in psychology, which I have been interested in for a long time, and make many friends at the university abroad. I would like to reevaluate the "good qualities of Japan" from abroad and use this experience to help me choose my future career path.

Studied hospitality and tourism in Hawaii.
I also experienced ground staff OPT in New York.

I enrolled in the Study Abroad Program, where I was able to carefully train my English skills, with the goal of studying abroad. To be honest, the English-immersion classes and assignments were tough every day, but I was able to get through them encouraged by my classmates who had the same goal of "studying abroad. While many universities have stopped accepting international students due to the Corona Disaster, I was able to study at Kapiolani Community College (KCC) in Hawaii thanks to the support of Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages. I majored in Hospitality and Tourism, and was particularly impressed with the classes on tour guiding in Hawaii's sightseeing spots and learning about the boarding pass reservation system in the airline industry. Many students are friendly, and I even tried surfing with friends on my days off. I also participated in extracurricular activities as a "Student Assistant" to support local students. One of my fondest memories is that many students came to the dance workshop I organized. After graduation, I took advantage of the OPT program and worked as a ground agent for ANA at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York for one year. It was very rewarding when I received compliments from customers on my responses and smiles, and I was able to practice expressions used in business situations, unlike the English I had learned at KCC, because I took on the challenge of the OPT program. I think my English skills have improved dramatically over the past year. I have now returned to my home country and am aiming to transfer to an overseas university again to obtain a bachelor's degree. In the future, I would like to immigrate to the U.S. and find a job where I can demonstrate the hospitality that is unique to Japan and make many people smile.
